PIP payment dates 2026: check your next payment

Enter one normal PIP payment date and get the next six estimated dates. The calculator follows the four-week cycle and flags likely earlier payments around published bank holidays—without asking for your name, National Insurance number or award amount.

Quick answer: PIP is usually paid every four weeks, not monthly. Count 28 days from a normal scheduled payment. If that date is a weekend or bank holiday, GOV.UK says you will usually be paid on the working day before.

Check my next PIP payment date

Enter a normal scheduled payment date—not a date moved early for a bank holiday. We will roll the 28-day cycle forward and check the official bank holidays for your part of the UK.

Choose your last normal payment date

You will get the next six estimated dates, including any likely earlier payment around bank holidays.

These are planning estimates, not a DWP schedule. GOV.UK says PIP is usually paid every four weeks and payments due on a weekend or bank holiday are usually made on the working day before. Your decision letter and bank account remain the authority. Bank-holiday data covers the published 2026–2028 calendars and was checked on 21 September 2026.

How to check your next PIP payment date

  1. Find a normal payment on your bank statement or the payment details in your decision letter.
  2. Do not use an arrival date that was brought forward for Christmas, Easter or another bank holiday.
  3. Choose your part of the UK so the tool can check the correct published bank-holiday calendar.
  4. Compare the estimate with your decision letter and bank account before relying on it.

Why the date changes each month

Four weeks is exactly 28 days, while calendar months have different lengths. Most people therefore receive 13 four-weekly payments across 52 weeks rather than one payment on the same date of each calendar month.

GOV.UK says your decision letter gives the date of your first payment and the day of the week you will usually be paid. Use that letter and your bank statement if an estimate disagrees.

PIP payment dates at Christmas and bank holidays

GOV.UK says a benefit payment due on a weekend or bank holiday will usually arrive on the working day before. That can create a longer gap before the following payment: the normal four-week cycle usually continues from the original due date, not from the earlier day the money reached your account.

The calculator checks the published 2026, 2027 and 2028 calendars for England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. One-off holidays can be announced later, so confirm any flagged date against the current GOV.UK bank-holiday calendar.

What this estimate cannot predict

A first payment, backdated money, a change of award, a review, time in hospital or a payment under special rules may not follow this simple estimate. The tool also does not know whether DWP has changed or stopped a claim. If a payment should already have arrived, use the official PIP contact route.

Common questions

When is my next PIP payment date?+

Your next normal PIP payment is usually 28 days after your last normal scheduled payment. Enter that date in the calculator and it will roll an older date forward to the next six estimated dates.

Is PIP paid every month or every four weeks?+

PIP is usually paid every four weeks. That is a 28-day cycle, so the calendar date moves rather than staying on one date each month. A normal year therefore has 13 four-weekly cycles.

What happens when a PIP payment date is a bank holiday?+

GOV.UK says a PIP payment due on a bank holiday is usually paid before the bank holiday. The calculator checks the published bank holidays for England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland and shows an estimated earlier working day.

Can I calculate from a payment that arrived early for a bank holiday?+

Use the original normal due date if you know it, not the earlier arrival date. Adding 28 days to an early holiday payment can shift every later estimate onto the wrong day. Your decision letter gives your normal payment details.

Can this calculator see my PIP claim?+

No. It does not connect to DWP, your bank or your claim, and the date stays in your browser. It cannot predict a first payment, arrears, a changed award, a review decision or a stopped payment.

What should I do if my PIP payment is late?+

Check the expected date against your decision letter and bank account first. If it should already have arrived, use the official PIP enquiry contact details on GOV.UK rather than entering personal claim information into this calculator.
